The summer is going by incredibly fast. It's sad really. Here we are the last week of July and I don't fee like we've accomplished much of our summer plans. Nate got a new job about a month ago so he's now commuting to Anacortes daily so that takes up a lot of our family time. There's not a lot of new stuff going on at my work..still love what I do and am grateful for a job that allows me to be flexible with the girls. We are awaiting final word on Gwyn intradistric transfer request. My initial request was denied so I'm not waiting on a second ask. We are hoping that she'll go to Vosbeck that way Martha can do before and after care and then have Gabby full time. This weekend we are going to go camping with the Bredeson's for the weekend and squeeze in a baby shower and picnic all at the same time. I can't wait to get away from technology and just hang out with friends. Next month we are going to drive down to see April and the new baby. She's due next week so she should be settled in by the time we get down there. We really have about 7 weeks before school starts and then life really gets crazy. I'm just grateful for our lovely little family.
Ps.We still haven't finished our house project. Just paid for Hawaii so our money efforts can get directed back to carpets again.
PPS. Just got done dealing with our first bought of head lice. I just happened to be playing with Gwyn's hair when I found them! Yuck!
Crazy to think it's been 20 years since we said our vows on that stormy rainy day in March. This year we had plans to get a hotel in Lynnwood and galavant around Seattle for a few days. We ended up going to Herb Niemans on our anniversary, then to Boundary Bay for lunch the next day and we finished our anniversary weekend kidless in lynden. Amy & Bri ended up coming up and spending two days with mom. Saturday we left for the dahlia tuber sale then to El Suentio Brewery for lunch, a brisk walk in the cold wind out at birch bay and then a drink @ The Mill and dinner at Nami sushi. Our anniversary was filled with love and togetherness. We are so spoiled.
